Covering Corruption Workshop

The International Press Institute, in cooperation with the US-based Investigative News Network, is to host a one-day seminar for investigative reporters covering corruption on 23 June in Port of Spain, Trinidad.
The workshop will focus on examples of successful journalism projects on corruption with an emphasis on how to collaborate internationally on investigations into political and corporate corruption and organised crime. See the Covering Corruption programme for more information.

Daniel Ellsberg

Probably the most famous whistleblower in US history, Daniel Ellsberg, released a top secret Pentagon history of the Vietnam War. The Pentagon Papers were eventually published by the New York Times and other newspapers and contributed to the disillusionment with the war in the US. In this video, he offers guidance to whistleblowers and his reasons for going public and breaking the law.
